Rom-Com Drama ‘Ajosepo’ Tops Nigerian Box Office, Earns N136 Million in 21 Days

‘Sugar Rush’ Director Kayode Kasum has hit another milestone with his romantic-comedy drama ‘Ajosepo’ remaining the highest-grossing film for three consecutive weeks. 

According to CEAN’s April 20, 2024 report on Nigerian films, “Ajosepo” earned N79 million during the week of April 12 to April 18, 2024, and has since gathered a cumulative revenue of N136 million to date.

The film centers around Dapo (Mike Afolarin) and Tani (Tomike Adeoye), a couple who are faced with a scandal involving the groom’s father and the bride’s aunt on the eve of their traditional wedding. The groom must team up with his brother Jide to save their family from disgrace.

The film stars notable actors including; Mercy Aigbe, Bisola Aiyeola, Timini Egbuson, Deyemi Okanlawon, Yemi Solade, and Ronke Oshodi Oke.
