Several candidates travelling to the Nigerian Army Depot in Zaria, Kaduna State, for enlistment training have been involved in a tragic road accident, leaving many with varying degrees of injuries.
According to sources, the victims were among successful candidates heading to the Depot Nigerian Army to commence military training when the accident occurred.
Security analyst Makama, who disclosed the incident, said the crash happened while the candidates were en route to Zaria. The exact cause of the accident and the number of casualties have yet to be officially confirmed.
The injured candidates were reportedly evacuated for medical treatment, while authorities are expected to provide further details on the incident.
The Nigerian Army is yet to issue an official statement regarding the accident as of the time of filing this report
