Retired Nigerian soldiers staged a protest in Abuja, expressing dissatisfaction over their exclusion from the recent salary increase approved for serving military personnel.
The pensioners called on the Federal Government to review and adjust their pensions to reflect the salary increment granted to serving soldiers.

According to the protesters, the adjustment is not a favour but a right guaranteed by law, considering their years of service to the country.
