According to reports, major floods have invaded many areas in Lagos on Wednesday morning, July 3.
Severe rainfall began in the early hours of the morning and has continued unabated.
It was gathered that, places on the Island, such as Lekki, Ajah, and Ikoyi are flooded.

Meanwhile, Lagos mainland is also not excluded from the incident. Areas like Gbagada, Surulere, Ikeja, and Iyana-Oworo are said to have flooded.
Several residents are reported to have woken up to flood water that has invaded their homes.

Lagos residents have taken to X to tweet about the flood that seems to be affecting every neighborhood in the state.
Many workers are unable to go to work and have been forced to call Human Resource manager to report their absence from work. This has caused “Dear HR” to trend on X.
“State of Emergency” is also trending as residents call on the government to declare a state of emergency on the issue of flooding in Lagos.
