Remarkable Fathers Honoured in Canada

The first edition of the Remarkable Father’s Award has held in Ontario, Canada.

The event is an initiative of the Nigerian Canadian Newspaper, the foremost Canada-based Nigerian Newspaper.

According to the organisers, the award is geared towards honouring deserving fathers who have distinguished themselves in the home front, community and society through their invaluable contributions and exemplary living.

In her speech, founder of the initiative and Publisher of the Nigerian Canadian Newspaper, Ngozi Ugoh said it was imperative to celebrate fathers’ unwavering support, boundless love, and relentless guidance.

“In a world that constantly evolves, the role of a father remains a beacon of stability, strength, and wisdom. Fathers are the architects of dreams, the silent providers of strength, and the unwavering pillars of their families. They hold the power to shape futures, instill values, and inspire generations. Today, we gather not only to honor their actions but to celebrate the profound impact they have on shaping the destinies of their children and society at large,” she said.

At the event, awardees who were drawn from all walks of life and different continents, received awards ranging from Community Service Award, Trailblazer Award, Community Builder Award, Social Change Award, Business Excellence Award, among others.

The awardees lauded the organisers for a ‘well thought initiative’ especially given that fathers are often underappreciated and less celebrated in the society.

The awardees include Olumide Olatayo, Adewale Rabiu, Akeem Ogunmilade, Dr. Olaniyi Ajisafe.

Others are Gabriel Petrut, Osita Nwajiufor, Windy Uche Utomi, Anthony Emeka Okolo, Hon. Bishop Dr. Kingsley O. Osayande, Andrew Enofe, Ojo Adeniran Tewogbade, Ryan Singh, Capt. Ryan Agard, Elder Isaac Sanya Olowolafe, Nene Kabu Asante, Jojo Chintoh, Chief Ejikeme A.Chuks, Winston LaROSE, Chief Uche Ezemenari.

More so, John Joseph Edem, Testimony Eriamiatoe, Emmanuel Emordi, Rev. Chinedu Nwakaibeya Nmezi, Coach John Emore, Clifton Donegal, Sheridan Cyrus, Michael Forrest, Amos Sarwan, Olumide Olatayo also received the coveted awards.
