Real Madrid last night defeated arch-rival Barcelona to win the Spanish Super Cup in Saudi Arabia. It’s the 13th Super Cup tittle for Los Blancos last night, following their terrific victory over Barcelona at Al — Awwal Park Stadium in Riyadh.
Vinícius Jr. put the man of the match performance, scoring a hat trick in the final, two of those goals were scored just before the 10th minute and the last in the 38th minute. Lewandowski reduced the deficit for Barcelona, but Rodrygo made it 4-1 in the 64th minute.
Carlo Ancelotti appeared in the press room at the Al-Awwal Park stadium in Riyadh after winning the Spanish Super Cup against Barcelona:
“It was a final that we wanted to win. We have won it with merit. We started very well and took advantage of the high line at the beginning. We found Vinicius in an extraordinary state and from there he started another game. Barcelona has handled the ball and tried to look for opportunities. It has been difficult for us to recover it. Until 4-1 the match was open and we tried to control it. At the back, in the second half the block was very good and we had a very complete match.”
