Real Madrid keen on acquiring Trent Alexander Arnold from Liverpool

Trent Alexander Arnold

La Liga giant, Real Madrid, has shown interest in acquiring Liverpool’s sensational right back, Trent Alexander Arnold, whose contract will expire in June 2025, and has not been offered a contract extension. According to Fabrizio Romano, many top European clubs, including Los Blancos have shown interested to lure the English player away from Anfield at the end of their contract.

Fabrizio Romano has reported that top European clubs, including Real Madrid, are eager to lure the English player away from Liverpool. Despite Trent Alexander’s importance to the club, there have been no negotiations concerning a contract extension. Klopp’s departure at the end of the season has given these clubs the confidence to pursue Alexander Arnold’s service, and Liverpool’s financial constraints could also prompt them to consider a sale.

While Liverpool hasn’t indicated a willingness to part with their vice-captain, the emergence of Conor Bradley, whose performance is unprecedented, as a replacement for the injured Alexander Arnold may persuade them to do so.

Since his debut for his childhood club, Alexander Arnold has been regarded as one of the world’s leading full-backs due to his goal-scoring, assist-making, and ability to play in the midfield.

He has made 12 goal contributions in 29 appearances this season, with 18 goals and 82 assists in 302 appearances for Liverpool in all tournaments, a record for any right-back in the club’s history. He has also won every trophy available under Klopp’s guidance, establishing himself as one of Liverpool’s most decorated players of this era.
