Nollywood actress and activist Kate Henshaw and her colleague Okey Bakassi who is a comedian hosted a fundraiser event for incumbent governor of Imo state, Hope Izodinma who happens to to an APC member.
That did not sit well with quite a number of Nigerians because both Kate Henshaw and Okey Bakassi have spoken up against the ruling party APC.
Some even went as far as calling them opportunists as they believed that they use any opportunity to fill up their pockets not minding what they are fighting for and against.
The actress however has come out to explain herself and shut naysayers up. She wrote:
Someone called me this morning to check the X app. I was invited to host a fundraiser alongside my colleague. I accepted, my prerogative. What is the noise about? The difference btw you and me is that I will still speak my truth as I see fit. End of”.
“Coffee & water time Biko. Let me wake myself up. It was a long night”.
The fundraiser was held last night in IMO state.
