Rasmus Hojlund Raises Concerns to Erik ten Hag Regarding Bruno Fernandes

Rasmus Hojlund voices discontent to Erik ten Hag over Bruno Fernandes following a rift with Manchester United captain’s compatriot Diogo Dalot.

Hojlund’s complaints were based on his impression that he wasn’t playing with the team, especially when it came to Fernandes’s attacking play.

Tensions between Hojlund and Dalot reportedly increased following United’s Champions League loss to FC Copenhagen in November, according to Daily Mail.

The club captain supported Dalot in that scenario, further deepening the divide between Hojlund and the Portuguese pair.

Hojlund expressed his worries to Ten Hag and his coaching team in an attempt to find a solution. However, because the staff did not want to step in, he was urged to resolve the issues in a face-to-face conversation with Dalot.

After discussions, the two got back together, and Fernandes made apologies to Hojlund to get things back to normal.

United’s season has been dismal as they are currently seventh in the Premier League standings, 16 points behind Aston Villa in fourth place with two games remaining.

Despite overcoming Coventry to secure a spot in the FA Cup final, the Championship team put on a heroic show and looked poised to pull off an upset. After joining from Atalanta in the summer, Hojlund has similarly had trouble scoring goals; in 36 games across all competitions, he has only managed 13 goals.

Ten Hag’s team will play bottom-of-the-table Sheffield United at Old Trafford on Wednesday in an attempt to earn a Europa League spot. On Saturday, they will play second-bottom Burnley, which is a vital matchup.

On May 25, they will play Manchester City in the FA Cup final at Wembley to cap off their season.
