Priscilla Ojo’s Husband Juma Jux Denies Paternity Claims, Woman Demands DNA Test

Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, husband of Nigerian influencer Priscilla Ojo, has denied allegations that he fathered a child outside his marriage, after a woman linked to the claims took her case to a government minister and called for a DNA test.
On Friday, 28 August 2026, Jux released a formal statement, written originally in Swahili, rejecting the paternity claims. He said he had chosen to stay silent at first because he believed the rumours carried no weight, but decided to speak publicly once the story began to threaten his family, his reputation, and his business.
Jux said he had personally reached out to the woman named in the allegations shortly after they surfaced. According to him, she confirmed, in her own words, that no romantic or sexual relationship had ever existed between them, and advised him against giving the matter further attention.
He said the issue has now been handed to legal authorities, and he warned against continued circulation of the claims.
“Anyone who chooses to associate my name, my family, or my businesses with false allegations must be prepared to be held accountable according to the law,” he wrote. He closed the statement with the words: “I have chosen peace, truth, and the appropriate legal action.”
His elder sister, Fatima, publicly backed him by resharing his statement to her Instagram story.
The following day, 29 August 2026, the woman at the centre of the allegations responded with a public post of her own. She addressed Dr Dorothy Onesphoro Gwajima, Tanzania’s Minister of Community Development, Gender, Women and Special Groups, calling her “my mother.”
“The solution to the issue between me and the artist JUMA JUX is that I am asking that we do a DNA test. I am asking you, my mother, because that is the only way we can establish the truth and determine who is lying in this story,” she wrote.
She also addressed Jux directly. “The DNA will decide, and the truth will always be proven. A mother knows the father of her child,” she wrote.
No DNA test result has been made public, and neither party has provided independent confirmation of their account.
This is not the first time Dr Gwajima has weighed in on matters concerning Jux and his marriage. On 14 August 2026, she publicly rebuked a group of Tanzanian citizens who were pressuring Priscilla Ojo to leave her husband over the rumours, describing their campaign as driven by misguided allegiance. Her comments drew reactions across Nigerian social media at the time.
Despite the controversy, the Ojo family in Nigeria showed no visible strain in its public dealings with Jux. On 29 August 2026, Iyabo Ojo, Priscilla’s mother, marked the first birthday of her grandson, Rakeem Mkambala, with a billboard tribute at Times Square in Manhattan, New York. The post, shared jointly with actress Bisola, tagged both Jux and Priscilla.
Some social media users questioned whether the billboard image was authentic, while others defended it as real.
As of now, the paternity dispute remains unresolved, with both sides maintaining opposing accounts and no confirmed test result in public record.
