Social media commentator and activist Prince Isaac Fayose today strongly criticized the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, for his comments on the recent Osun State governor election, which was won by Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party.
The prince wrote on Facebook that he was annoyed by the comments made by the minister and questioned the confidence in what the President could have done for the win.
The News Chronicle reports that Fayose also noted the failed race Wike had in the PDP presidential primary earlier, adding that he was glad Atiku Abubakar, the PDP presidential candidate, won against his colleague.
He also wondered what the country would be like if Wike, who had expressed so much confidence, were president.
Fayose also prayed for Nigeria and warned Wike of the hidden snare.
See his comments below.
“When I listen to this Wike, my stomach rumbles. Look at the confidence with which he said if the president had wanted Osun and HE was there… thank God Atiku messed this Wike up in the PDP primaries. Let’s assume we have someone like Wike as president; just a minister, look at the audacity. May God keep saving Nigeria from these kinds of people. God will shock him.“
Fayose’s comments add to the growing reactions surrounding the Osun election and the political statements made by key figures following the poll.
