President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, have issued a heartfelt tribute to Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), as he marks his 84th birthday on March 2, 2026.

The joint statement, hailed Pastor Adeboye, affectionately known as Daddy G.O., as “one of our nation’s greatest gifts: a spiritual fortress, interceding for Nigeria and its people to God Almighty.”

The President and the First Lady commended Pastor Adeboye’s genuine humility and deep wisdom, noting that his contributions extend beyond the pulpit to significant work in “philanthropy, healthcare, education, and economic empowerment.”

“We celebrate the grace of stewardship and leadership upon the life of Pastor Adeboye,” the statement read, as the couple joined his wife, Pastor Foluke, members of the RCCG, and the wider Body of Christ in expressing gratitude for his exceptional life and impact that “transcends cultures and borders.”

The tribute specifically acknowledged the clergyman’s “unceasing prayers for our nation” and praised his “patriotic zeal, manifest determination and commitment to Nigeria’s progress.” It further recognized his unique leadership role and how his teachings over the past five decades “continue to shape and transform lives across generations in the country and beyond.”

Concluding their tribute, President Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu offered a prayer: “As Daddy G.O. celebrates this special day, we pray that God Almighty continue to bless him with good health and strength as he continues his good work in the Lord’s vineyard.”
