A tragic road accident involving a commercial Hummer Bus has occurred at Kwanan Kuka along the Gombe–Yola highway.
The bus, which was travelling from Yola to Kano, was involved in the crash under circumstances that are yet to be fully explained.
One person lost his life in the accident, a police officer from the Republic of Cameroon, while several other passengers sustained varying degrees of injuries.
The injured passengers were reportedly rushed to nearby medical facilities for treatment.
Authorities are expected to investigate the cause of the accident, while road users have been urged to exercise caution, especially along busy inter-state highways.
