One Daniel Favour, a 25-year-old Student of the Federal University of Lafia(FULafia), has been apprehended by men of the Nasarawa State Police Command’s Anti-Kidnapping Unit in Lafia.
Favor, a 200-level student of the Department of Social Works in the University was arrested on Thursday December 28 2023, following credible information made available to security operatives.
The Nasarawa state’s Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel made this known in a statement on Friday 29 December 2023.
He revealed that a search warrant was executed at the suspect’s residence where one locally fabricated Beretta pistol, four (4) live ammunition, and criminal charms/herbs were recovered as exhibits.
The Federal University of Lafia is located in Gandu, a neighbouring community to Lafia the Nasarawa State capital where hundreds of students of the institution and staff reside had recently suffered from an increase in incidents of abductions.
