Police Arrest Tailor for Sponsoring Protests with Russian Flags in Kano State

The Nigeria Police Force has announced the arrest of Ahmed Tailor, who is accused of sponsoring and distributing Russian flags to protesters in Kano State.
According to the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, Tailor was apprehended with seven Russian flags in his possession.
Adejobi revealed that Tailor is a key suspect in the promotion of treasonous activities, which include the display of Russian flags and incitement to anarchy in Kano and across Nigeria.
“Ahmed Tailor was arrested in Kano on Monday with seven more flags. He is one of the sponsors of treasonable felony, flying Russian flags, and calling for anarchy in Kano, Nigeria at large,” Adejobi stated.
The #EndBadGovernance protests in northern Nigeria, particularly in areas like Kaduna, Kano, and Zamfara, have taken an unexpected turn with protesters waving Russian flags.
These individuals have voiced their dissatisfaction with the Nigerian government’s adoption of International Monetary Fund (IMF) policies and Western-style democracy.
As a result, they are seeking support from Russia and advocating for an alternative political system.
