Police Apprehend Notorious Armed Robber For Stabbing Victim Over iPhone In Abuja

According to reports, one Attah Godwin, 33, has been arrested by operatives of the Nigerian Police, FCT Command in connection to a robbery attack on one Ogo Chukwuemeka, 27, in Abuja.

 

 

It was gathered that the suspect was apprehended on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at about 6:05pm, while men of the Nigerian police were on routine patrol.

In a statement by the FCT Command, the suspect, who is from Kogi State, assaulted  the victim while he was trying to board a vehicle to Kuchigoro at Berger Mosque, Utako.

 

 

“The armed robber stabbed the victim on his chest and shoulder with a knife and dispossessed him of his phones and other belongings.

 

The police operatives on patrol, having received the information, in concert with the locals gave the suspects a hot chase and caught up with him.

 

The exhibits were recovered from him and the victim was taken to the hospital to receive medical attention.

 

He equally urges residents to report suspicious activities through the following emergency lines ; 08032003913, 08061581938, 07057337653, and 08028940883; PCB: 09022222352.” The statement added in parts.

 

The statement also emphasized that while investigation is still ongoing, the Commissioner of Police FCT, CP Benneth Igweh was committed to ensuring that residents of FCT go about their day-to-day activities in a safe and peaceful environment.
