Plateau Representative donates more than 3,600 bags of rice and 30 cows to constituents

Hon. Yusuf Gagdi, Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Navy and Member Representing Pankshin, Kanke, and Kanam Federal Constituency, has undertaken a significant initiative to empower his constituents. 

He distributed financial assistance, including ₦20,000 each to over 2000 youths, women, and elders. Additionally, he provided support to Christian leaders and communities by distributing 3,600 bags of rice and 30 cows.

In an event held at the Mini Stadium Dengi, Kanam Local Government of Plateau State, Gagdi presented items valued at over ₦100 million.

The assistance extended beyond monetary support, as he distributed grinding and sewing machines, water pumps for irrigation farming, bundles of roofing zinc, and mattresses for victims of floods and windstorms.

Gagdi emphasized that his gesture aimed not only to support his Christian constituents but also to benefit Christians in Plateau State, especially those less privileged, enabling them to celebrate Christmas more comfortably.

He expressed the belief that the Christmas season is a time for love and sharing, particularly with those in need.

Stressing his commitment to serving the community, Gagdi stated, “I have a covenant with God and humanity that my life is dedicated to serving my people.” He affirmed that he would continue to uplift the lives of both Christians and Muslims in Pankshin, Kanke, and Kanam Federal Constituency.

Gagdi highlighted his consistent efforts to bring joy to his constituents during festive periods, whether it be Christmas or Sallah.

He mentioned that since his tenure as a representative in the National Assembly, he has regularly distributed rice and cows during these celebratory times.

The two-term Reps Member explained that his charitable actions are not restricted to specific political affiliations, asserting that the distributed items are intended for all members of his constituency, regardless of political alignment.

He emphasized his role as a representative for all and expressed his dedication to positively impacting the lives of the people he serves.

Reflecting on his history of community service, Gagdi mentioned his involvement in various capacities, including the State House of Assembly, Chairmanship of the Board of Directors of Lower Benue River Basin Development Authority, and positions within the PDP.

He underscored that his life has consistently been dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of his constituents since 2011.
