Plateau aims to equip 1000 women with artificial intelligence skills and more

—

Mrs. Helen Mutfwang, who is the wife of the governor of Plateau State, Mr. Caleb Mutfwang, recently announced some exciting plans during the celebration of International Women’s Day in Jos.

She shared that the Plateau State Government is dedicated to helping 1000 women improve their lives by teaching them new skills.

These skills include things like artificial intelligence, which is about computers being smart like humans, and digital skills such as video editing, coding, and cinematography.

Mrs. Mutfwang also mentioned that they will provide special training for young women, who will learn about important things like fish farming and agriculture.

This training will happen in groups over time, so everyone can learn properly. At the end of their training, the women will receive money to help them start their own businesses.

The theme for this year’s International Women’s Day is “Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress.” Mrs. Mutfwang explained that this means it’s important to give women more opportunities so they can be part of making the world better.

She encouraged all women and girls in Plateau State to make the most of these opportunities.

“I call on our women and girls to take full advantage of these opportunities provided by the Plateau Government to change the narrative in the state.

Mrs. Mutfwang emphasized that she and the governor are committed to helping women and girls in Plateau State.

“I will continue to work assiduously with the governor to support all efforts aimed at strengthening and addressing poverty, as well as enhancing the capacities of women and girls.

They want to reduce poverty and make sure women and girls have the chance to learn new things and succeed. Their goal is to make Plateau State a better place for everyone.
