Popular Nigerian content creator Habeeb Hamzat, widely known as Peller, proposed to his longtime partner, Elizabeth Amadou, during a trip to Ghana.
The proposal took place on Wednesday evening, June 3, at the beachfront La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra.
Videos shared online showed Peller kneeling before Jarvis and presenting a ring as friends and onlookers watched. Jarvis accepted the proposal, and the pair embraced as those around them celebrated.
Peller reflected on their relationship, which began in 2023.
“When we met in 2023, you have been a blessing to me; you have been encouraging me, and I have been doing so well.”
The engagement attracted widespread attention because it follows an earlier proposal in December 2024. At the time, Jarvis described the ring as a “promise ring” and said she was not yet ready for marriage. She later acknowledged during a television interview that Peller had indeed proposed to her.
The couple has often shared glimpses of their relationship in public view. They became well known on TikTok through their joint content, combining Jarvis’ AI-inspired character performances with Peller’s livestreams and comedy videos. Together, they have built an audience numbering in the millions across social media platforms.
Their relationship has also faced challenges. In late 2025, the pair briefly broke up before reconciling. In recent months, both had spoken positively about their future together, leading many followers to speculate that marriage plans were approaching.
Reaction online was mixed. Many fans offered congratulations and welcomed the news. One social media user wrote, “Peller & Jarvis are officially engaged.” Another commented, “Peller has proposed to Jarvis, and she said YES.”
Others questioned whether the proposal was different from the one that took place in 2024. “Did Peller really propose to Jarvis or na content?” one X user asked.
Renowned social media critic Daniel Regha reacted to the engagement with a mixed opinion. He questioned the seriousness of the relationship while still offering congratulations.
He wrote:
“Peller and Jarvis are engaged (again)? Congrats if it’s not content; But one key to a successful marriage is mental maturity, and they behave like children. Best wishes though.”
There was also speculation about possible wedding plans in 2027, although neither Peller nor Jarvis has announced a date for a ceremony.
