The Borno State Police Command on Tuesday coordinated and provided adequate security for the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) procession held in Maiduguri.
The peaceful procession, which took place on Wednesday December 17, 2025, commenced from the NUJ Junction and terminated at Today’s Store along Gidan Madara Road.
The event was orderly and well coordinated, with no incidents recorded throughout the exercise.
According to the police, the smooth conduct of the procession was largely attributed to the high level of cooperation, understanding, and support from the leadership and members of the NLC.
The Command also ensured effective management of vehicular and pedestrian movements during the procession, allowing for the free flow of traffic and preventing disruption to residents’ lawful activities.
Commending the conduct of all participants, the Commissioner of Police, Borno State Command, CP Naziru Abdulmajid, psc, reassured members of the public of the Command’s continued commitment to maintaining peace, public safety, and the protection of constitutional rights across the state.
