The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has announced the successful upload of the names of its presidential candidate, running mate, and National Assembly candidates to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Candidate Nomination Portal.
The party’s National Chairman, Abdulrahman Mohammed, disclosed this in a statement issued in Abuja on Wednesday.
He described the development as “another milestone” in the PDP’s preparations for the 2027 general elections.
According to Mohammed, the successful upload demonstrates the party’s commitment to ensuring its full participation in the 2027 polls.
The statement further noted that the PDP is awaiting the completion of the upload of the names of its governorship and State Houses of Assembly candidates to the INEC portal.
INEC is expected to open and close the candidate nomination window for the 2027 general elections in line with the timetable earlier released by the commission.
The PDP said it will communicate further details to its members and the public once the remaining uploads are concluded.
