PDP suspends Gbenga, 12 others


Ogun State Governor, Otunba Gbega Daniel and 12 others has been suspended by the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), ward 12, Sagamu Local Government, Ogun East Senatorial District for anti-party activities.

Daniel was accused of membership of two or more parties- Peoples Party of Nigeria (PPN) and Labour Party, plus PDP which he was a member of prior to the suspension.

Speaking to news men shortly after the suspension, the chairman of Ogun East Senatorial District of the party, Otunba Doyin Fakoya at the end of PDP Remo-North federal constituency meeting at Isara in Remo-North Local Government Area of the state said, the former Governor single-handedly brought in PPN to Ogun State and he is financing Labour Party at the moment.

His words: “Otunba Gbenga  Daniel was the one that brought the Peoples Party of Nigeria, PPN, to Ogun State and he is financing Labour Party at the moment. You cannot be in three parties at the same time, you cannot be in PPN,  PDP  and  Labour Party at the same time .

 The chairman who stated that Gbenga`s suspension was in conformity with the disciplinary directive given by the National chairman of the party, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur also acknowledged that he had received his own copy of the suspension letter.

“As of today, I am the Senatorial Chairman of Ogun East Senatorial District and I have got a copy of letter that Otunba Gbenga Daniel has been suspended.

“He is no longer a member of PDP; he has been suspended by ward 12 Sagamu Constituency 2,” Fakoya added.

Also suspended were– Idowu Osho,   Gbenga Sadiku,   Yetunde Majolagbe,  Mabawonju Shitta,  Ayantola Lawal,   Raufu Jinad, . Oguntade Adeleke,   Gbenga Buhari, Yinka Sotunde,   Gbenga Sokoya, Zainab Lawal and  Olu Osho.
