The National leadership of Africa’s largest political party, PDP, has suspended former Osun State Governor and National Secretary of the nPDP, Chief Olagunsoye Oyinlola.
The stick of suspension was also struck on the factional Chairman of the nPDP, and former National Acting Chairman of the PDP, Alhaji Abubakar Kawu Baraje; nPDP National Vice-Chairman, DR. Sam Jaja, and the North West National Vice Chairman of the nPDP, Ambassador Ibrahim Kazuare.
The suspension came five days after an Appeal Court ruled that Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola was the authentic National Secretary of the PDP.
There were speculations that Prince Oyinlola would resume work at the Wadata House (PDP Nationa Secretariat) on Monday November 11, 2013.
The immediate suspension of Oyinlola is believed to be a swift move to prevent him from resuming as the PDP’s National Secretary.
The Party has also said it has not received the Wednesday judgment of the Appeal Court which ordered the return to office of Prince Oyinlola as National Secretary of the PDP.
According to the leadership of the PDP, Prince Oyinlola would face a Disciplinary Committee which will be chaired by Alhaji Dikko Umaru.
