The General overseer of the Redeem Christian Church of God, Pastor E. A Adeboye has launched a football club called Dove FC. The development took place at the Redeem Camp in Lagos over the weekend.
Players selection were made in each of the six regions of Nigerian and players between the age of 16 to 21 have been screened to kick off the team. Speaking at the event, Pastor Adeboye encouraged the players to prioritize serving God over love for money:
“Winning is by God’s divine and not by might. To be a winner, you must have God by your side.”
Prince Dapo Ajibade, the chairman of Dove FC, also explained that the establishment of the team is for the church to break new grounds:
“By the special grace of God and with the support of the GO, Dove FC will expand to become the biggest brand in the world,” he said. RCCG has now joined elite Churches in Nigeria like Mountain of Fire who have featured in the Nigerian top-flight leagues to own a football club
