A Family Court in Iyaganku, Oyo State on Thursday ordered that a 14-year-old boy, who allegedly defiled a 22-month-old baby, be remanded in the Agodi Corrections facility. Meanwhile, police charged the minor for defilement. Chief Magistrate P. O. Adetuyibi did not take the plea of the minor for want in the jurisdiction. The government of Tanzania, the African Development Bank (www.AfDB.org), and the French Development Agency (AFD) have signed agreements for two development project loans worth $300 million. The funds will finance the construction of the 87.8-megawatt Kakono Hydropower Plant located in Kagera region in the northern part of Tanzania.
