Oyedepo Hails Kumuyi’s Global Ministry Impact

‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‌Bishop David Oyedepo, Founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, has described Pastor William Kumuyi as a sage whose ministry impacted lives globally.

Oyedepo spoke on Saturday at the August edition of the Global Crusade with Kumuyi (GCK), with theme, ‘Total Transformation Through Christ,’ in Ota, Ogun.

He said he had followed Kumuyi’s ministry from its early days and remained amazed by its strength, spiritual impact and influence.

“This man is a sage. Today, I am amazed at the strength, the unction and the impact of this ministry all through these years.

Oyedepo said he attended the crusade because “honour must be given to whom honour is due”, describing Kumuyi as a voice that had affected many globally.

“May this grace continue to multiply, in the name of Jesus,” he prayed.

He expressed confidence that participants would experience God’s grace throughout the programme, saying he expected remarkable things to happen.

Oyedepo subsequently spoke on “How Shall We Escape, If We Neglect So Great a Salvation?”, stressing the importance of genuine salvation.

Reading from Hebrews 2:3 and 2 Corinthians 13:5, he said salvation was not merely an ideology or belief but a tangible experience.

“Salvation is not an ideology; it is an experience. May everyone gathered here tonight be set to experience the salvation of Christ,” he said.

Oyedepo said his personal conversion was a definite experience, recalling that he gave his life to Christ on February 19, 1969, at the age of 15.

“There was no guesswork. I knew what took place in my life when I did,” he said.

He identified love, joy and peace as fruits that should characterise a regenerated life, urging Christians to examine their relationship with God.

The cleric also urged believers to take spiritual responsibility by obeying God’s Word and maintaining their faith despite temptations.

He stressed that reaching heaven required commitment and spiritual discipline because valuable things often came with a cost.

“Everything of value carries a cost. Heaven is the most valuable destination. Therefore, there are definite costs,” he said.

Kumuyi, while opening his sermon titled ‘The Great Transplanting of Blessings into Your Life’, praised Oyedepo’s steadfast faith.

He said their relationship dated back to the 1970s, adding that they were renewing their fellowship and looking forward to greater things.

“We enjoy one another fellowship as he and I are going younger at heart, we are re-establishing that fellowship, greater things are yet to come,” Kumuyi said.

One of the striking testimonies came from Mrs Florence Okafor, whose husband, Sunday, battled mental illness for 17 years.

.

The testimony was among several accounts shared during the crusade, which entered its fourth day in Ota, with the grand finale scheduled for Sunday.
