Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Otti, is set to commission a new beverage production facility in Aba, marking a major expansion move by Ultimum Limited in Nigeria’s fast-growing FMCG sector.
Situated in the Osisioma industrial core, the plant is meant to be the main manufacturing hub of the business, providing drinks throughout the South East, South South, and beyond. It will create the Razzl drink range, accessible in flavours including cola, orange, lemon, and pamplemousse.
According to company executives, contemporary equipment guarantees product consistency, adherence to international quality standards, and efficiency. While increasing product availability for customers, this investment should help local manufacturing capacity grow.
With predictions indicating the creation of hundreds of jobs in production, logistics, and administrative roles, The News Chronicle reported that the new plant is also poised to boost the local economy. It should also create possibilities for suppliers and small companies inside the value chain.
Managing Director Austin Ufomba described the project as a strong signal of confidence in Nigeria’s economic potential, noting that the company remains focused on delivering high-quality beverages while supporting local industry growth.
The commissioning is expected to draw key government officials and industry stakeholders, highlighting the growing role of Aba as an emerging manufacturing hub in the country.
