OpenAI has introduced ChatGPT Gov, a specialized version of its chatbot platform tailored for U.S. government agencies.Â
The tool aims to offer these agencies improved access to AI technology for their operations.
ChatGPT Gov includes features similar to OpenAI’s enterprise-level platform, allowing agencies to run models on Microsoft Azure’s commercial or government cloud services.
The platform focuses on enhancing data security, privacy, and compliance, making it easier for agencies to use AI tools for managing sensitive information.
According to OpenAI, over 90,000 users across 3,500 federal, state, and local government bodies in the U.S. have utilized ChatGPT since 2024.
Together, they’ve exchanged more than 18 million messages to streamline daily tasks.
This launch comes amidst global discussions about AI advancements, especially in light of China’s rapid progress in the field.
