OpenAI CEO Denies Launching Search Engine To Rival Google

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has refuted rumours swirling around the launch of a competitor to Google Search. 

Altman clarified that the upcoming unveiling is neither GPT-5 nor a search engine, but rather an innovative project his team has diligently created.

Set to be unveiled on Monday at 10 AM PT, OpenAI will broadcast live demonstrations of groundbreaking features integrated into ChatGPT and GPT-4.
This announcement comes amidst earlier speculations hinting at OpenAI’s entry into the search engine arena, utilizing ChatGPT to extract real-time web data.
Furthermore, reports surfaced regarding OpenAI’s recruitment efforts, particularly targeting talent from Google.
These maneuvers are speculated to be linked to a big project, potentially revolving around search technology.
