OpenAI has named Chris Lehane, a seasoned political strategist, as its Vice President of Global Policy.Â
Lehane, who has previously held influential roles, including as the policy chief at Airbnb and a member of the Clinton White House, is now part of OpenAI’s executive team.
This appointment comes at a critical time as Apple and Nvidia are reportedly in discussions to invest in OpenAI.
These talks could potentially lead to a new fundraising round, valuing the AI startup at over $100 billion.
In light of these developments, OpenAI is also considering changes to its corporate structure to become more appealing to investors, according to a report by the Financial Times.
