Only God Can Solve Nigeria’s Problems Quickly -Bala Ibrahim

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has stated that only divine intervention can swiftly resolve the myriad issues facing Nigeria.

This assertion comes in response to the criticism that followed President Bola Tinubu’s recent nationwide broadcast, which addressed the ongoing hunger protests.

In a statement on Monday by the party’s National Director of Publicity, Bala Ibrahim, the APC defended President Tinubu against his detractors.

Ibrahim emphasized that the President, despite the heavy burden of the nation’s problems, does not deserve the condemnation he has received.

He noted that the President had conveyed his deep concern in the broadcast, remarking that he spoke with a “heavy heart.”

“When you look at the opening part of his broadcast, the President said he was speaking with a “heavy heart.” I don’t know if the problem is that people don’t understand English or they simply are expecting leaders to play God.”

Ibrahim argued that expecting immediate solutions to Nigeria’s complex issues within a brief broadcast is unrealistic.

He pointed out that the President’s address, which lasted less than 30 minutes, touched on numerous topics, and that only a higher power could resolve the country’s problems in such a short time.

He also criticized the opposition for their relentless attacks on President Tinubu, attributing their behavior to the fact that they were defeated in elections, in court, and in public opinion surveys.

Ibrahim contended that the opposition’s role should be to offer constructive criticism rather than destructive and reckless commentary.

Ibrahim further highlighted that the previous administration, which had 16 years to demonstrate its competence, failed to improve the country’s situation.

He suggested that the opposition’s current negative stance is hypocritical, given their own record in power.
