Teacher: What do you call a person who oversleeps
especially during daytime? One that can be labeled
as having hypersomnia. One who sleeps deeply, and
is a tedious task and a half to awaken. Any idea, Boni?
Boni: That’s my dad, teacher. He snores on the couch
every day the moment he slumps onto it. He snuffles
for several hours too. Since he isn’t easy to wake up,
mum, now and then tweaks him a bit on the cheeks.
Teacher: Oh, I guess he must have been exhausted, Boni.
Anyway, I was looking for words like sleepyhead, sleepwalker
or, heavy sleeper. Daytime sleepiness may point to a condition.
Boni: That’s right, dad is a heavy sleeper and a heavy drinker too!
