Obi! Better An Evangelist

The fear of Asari is the beginning of wisdom. How the mighty has fallen! Terribly petrified at the mention of his case file of corruption somewhere. Nigeria is gradually becoming a nation where anybody that serves any administration would have a corruption case to answer.

Obi Nnewi

There is always something to show them, when they begin to talk “too much” against the impunity and charades that reign. Such happened to Dr. Reuben Abati and ever since then, he has advised himself accordingly.

Nothing about Bola is bad again, he pontificates, playing on words either to support him or to dish out lethal blows on whoever that tries to ridicule Ahmed.

For those who still watch him on TV,would realise to their dismay, the Baptism of fire on him.

Recently in his bid to defend his newly found master’ shame of forgery, described Mr. Peter Obi as an Evangelist, who moralizes, playing to the gallery for publicity. What did Mr. Peter Obi do? Or what was his crime?

He organised an international Press conference calling Mr.Tinubu to reintroduce himself to Nigerians. Recall how Alhaji Atiku Abubaka, the Presidential candidate of PDP went to Chicago University and unmasked the academic records of Tinubu, which from the release and deposition of the school registery showed that the diploma certificate he presented to INEC was forged and other irregularities bothering of sex indentity. Why wouldn’t anybody in their right senses ask for a reintroduction of such a man whose identity is marred with irregularities.

For Abati, the best he could describe Obi’ act of patriotism was to call him an Evangelist.

He suddenly forgot too soon , how before the 2023 election Obi was described with all manner of derogatory names. He has forgotten how the four man tweeting in a room suddenly grew into a monumental force, too phenomenal, the wave and tsunamic vibration coming from such an organic support and love shook the entire Nation. He has forgot so soon how Obi was berated. How he wouldn’t be able to win a State. And how same Obi won the almighty Lagos.

He Abati may have equally forgotten, how those who insulted Peter Obi, demeaned him, collected a divine “wotowoto”. Do I need to call names? I wouldn’t, just to refresh his memory that such grace on Obi’ head can still be activated.

For the Evangelist he called him, Abati just like his predecessors in name calling, what he meant to serve a derogatory dish to Obi, has given him premium content to excel further.

For over 63 years Nigeria has been ruled by all kinds. Recently the country is a deep mess of international embrasamemt over the certificate forgery of her incumbent president who many alleged to be a drug baron, a phenomenal corruption czar. Nigerians have had it rough with her leaders, it wouldn’t be a bad idea if there is a change in character and nomenclature. We have had Generals, we have had PhD’ . We have equally had seasoned politicians, having an Evangelist, for a change wouldn’t be a bad idea. We can’t be doing same thing, same way over a period of time and expects change.

Nigeria needs an Evangelist, who will speak morals to us, showcase values, uphold integrity and ensures that corruption and forgery do not become our national identity.

We need an Evangelist who has the fear of God not to loot and turn public fund into private resources.

Nigeria needs Evangelist Peter Gregory Obi.Be careful how you kick someone, the kick you think might deflate them may be the needed kick into their destiny space.

To those who are diligent in this act of covering evil, these underlisted words of wisdom may be a healing pills.

“A half truth is a whole lie.” …

“Every lie is two lies, the lie we tell others and the lie we tell ourselves to justify it.” …

“Honesty is the best policy. …

“No legacy is so rich as honesty.” …

“It takes strength and courage to admit the truth.

God “no go” Shame Nigerians!!
