NYCN Partners PoolKing to Expose Anambra Youths to Real Estate Opportunities

A one-day Anambra Youth Investment Summit was held in Awka the state capital, with a call on the youths to explore the opportunities that abound in the real estate business, to become wealth and job creators.
The summit organized by the Anambra State Chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN in partnership with PoolKing Real Estate Firm, attracted youths from all 21 Local Government Areas of the state.
Speaking at the event, the Vice-Chancellor, of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Prof Charles Esimone, identified increased government investment in education, Skill acquisition initiatives, and mentorship, as sure ways to harness dormant talents to become self-reliant.
He said that Nigeria is blessed with vibrant and dynamic youths, representing approximately  60 percent of the population, hence, the need to empower and prepare them to contribute to the economic system.
Prof Esimone, who was a Guest speaker at the event, stated that the younger generation holds the key to unlocking the full potential of the nation, but quickly urged them to be innovative and invest their time in problem-solving initiatives.
“This event provides opportunity to think out of the box, think about skills, and develop an entrepreneurial mindset to transform from dependency to solution provider.
“We need to stimulate the youths to fill up the gaps and turn around the economy of the nation,” he said.
Regretting that youths, who are critical stakeholders, are not taken into consideration, Esimone called for concerted efforts to promote initiatives aimed at empowering the youths to defeat social vices, poverty, and unemployment.
In a keynote address, The State NYCN Chairman, Surveyor Obi Emeka Chukwudi, said the summit organized in partnership with PoolKing Real Estate Firm, was conceived to inspire youths to pursue rewarding careers within the real estate sector.
He praised Governor Charles Soludo’s commitment to continuing to create an enabling environment that would encourage youth empowerment in critical sectors of the state.
“This is what we have been canvassing for in NYCN, for well-meaning citizens to partner with the Council to empower Anambra youths.
“Today, we are glad that PoolKing has taken the bull by the horns, to make our youths millionaires through real estate.
“We want to commend the PoolKing Real Estate firm for this bold step and we call on other firms and individuals to take a cue from him and begin to channel our youths towards the path of positivity,” he said.
On his part, the Chief Executive Officer, of PoolKing Real Estate and Anambra State Youth Commander Gabriel Chukwunwendu, said his decision to partner with the NYCN on the initiative, was to nurture and groom youths in the real estate sector based on emerging and contemporary development in the nation.
This, he said, would help guarantee the youths, economic sustainability and ensure that the sector has a steady supply of professionals that would be readily available to service it at any point in time.
Chukwunwendu maintained that he is out to empower youths, even as he called on Ndi Anambra to start bringing their investments home.
Earlier, while speaking on the theme of the summit, “Access To Wealth Through Real Estate And Digital Wealth Creation” a Guest Speaker, Associate Professor Nwachukwu Obiakor, described it as apt, given emerging trends in the nation.
He added that the summit aimed to provide a platform for sensitization of youths and their potential impact on the real estate sector, which he described as the new style of making genuine money.
He praised the conducive business environment in the state and called on youths to explore the opportunities provided by the real estate firm to empower themselves.
