A woman in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has revealed why she joined the “End Bad Governance in Nigeria” protest despite being a nursing mother.
The protesting woman who joined other protesters at Eagle Square in Abuja came for the protest with her infant baby.
According to the woman whose identity was not disclosed, her husband was killed by bandits in Katsina State and this spurred her to participate in the protest.
She added that police are shooting teargas at protesters gathered at Eagle Square and she questioned if they wanted to kill her baby.
“I came to protest the hardship in Nigeria and the police are shooting tear gas at us. Do they also want to kill my baby? People cannot eat. Things are hard,” she lamented.
