NSUBEB Chairman Seeks Emir of Lafia’s Support to Revive Basic Education in Nasarawa

The Executive Chairman of the Nasarawa State Universal Basic Education Board (NSUBEB), Dr. Kassim Muhammad Kassim, has called for the support of the Emir of Lafia, HRH Justice Sidi Bage Muhammad (rtd), in the ongoing efforts to revitalize basic education across the state.

Dr. Kassim made the appeal on Friday during a courtesy visit to the Emir’s Palace in Lafia, where he led a delegation from the board. He emphasized the importance of community involvement in transforming the basic education sector, noting that the current administration is committed to restoring quality, accountability, and confidence in public schools.

The NSUBEB Chairman urged the Emir to use his royal influence to encourage his subjects to enroll their children in public schools, assuring that under his leadership, the board is implementing reforms to ensure that “basic education will no longer be business as usual.”

In his response, the Emir of Lafia, HRH Justice Sidi Bage Muhammad (rtd), commended Dr. Kassim for his proactive leadership and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the board’s mission. He pledged to work closely with stakeholders to restore the “golden days” of basic education in Nasarawa State.

Also present at the meeting was the Andoma of Doma, HRH Alhaji Ahmadu Aliyu Oga Onawo, who joined the Emir in receiving the NSUBEB delegation.
