NSCDC Partners United Healthcare to Improve Officers’ Wellbeing and Community Health

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has strengthened its collaboration with United Healthcare International Ltd., one of Nigeria’s leading Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs).
This partnership aims to enhance the health and well-being of NSCDC officers and host communities while improving grassroots security techniques and effective information gathering to combat criminality.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of a medical outreach program on Friday, NSCDC Commandant General, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, highlighted the positive impact of the partnership on the Corps.
He noted that the program was organized by the NSCDC’s Medical Health Service Department to give back to communities and promote stronger cooperation between the Corps and its host communities.
Representing the Commandant General at the event, ACG Ilelaboye Oyejide reaffirmed the Corps’ commitment to improving the health and welfare of both its personnel and the public.
He emphasized the importance of community support in achieving the Corps’ security mandates and underscored the role of the medical outreach in strengthening the bond between the NSCDC and local communities.
As an agency responsible for disaster mitigation, we believe this free medical outreach will significantly enhance our relationship with the communities we serve,” Oyejide stated.
The NSCDC announced that the first phase of the medical outreach for the year would take place in Laminga Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, with plans to extend the initiative to other communities over time.
Medical officers from the Corps, in collaboration with United Healthcare International, will provide health services during these outreach programs.
