NSCDC Commandant Strengthens Security Ties with Nigerian Army in Benue State

The Benue State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Bitrus Alice Larai, continued her outreach to military leaders as part of efforts to enhance national security on Monday.

As part of her tour of military installations, Commandant Larai recently visited the Nigeria Army School of Military Engineering (NASME) in Makurdi, where she met with its Commandant, Maj. Gen. AG Audu.

Their discussions focused on shared security interests and strategies to improve national defense.

She also held talks with Brig. Gen. LG Lepdung, the Force Commander of Operation Whirlstroke Joint Taskforce.

During the meeting, Larai reaffirmed the NSCDC’s commitment to supporting the military’s operations in securing the nation’s borders and maintaining internal peace.

Highlighting the importance of teamwork, Commandant Larai emphasized the need for closer collaboration and synergy between the NSCDC and the Nigerian Army.

She stressed that stronger inter-agency cooperation is essential for addressing Nigeria’s security challenges effectively.

The visits are part of Larai’s ongoing efforts to strengthen relationships between the NSCDC and the Nigerian Armed Forces, paving the way for more coordinated joint operations in the future.
