Reports emerging from Zamfara State indicate that notorious bandit leader, Kachalla Haire, widely known as “Mala’ikan Mada,” has reportedly been killed following a violent confrontation among rival bandit factions.
According to sources, the clash reportedly erupted during the sharing of belongings linked to a deceased gang leader, leading to a deadly dispute among the criminal groups.
Haire had long been accused of masterminding terror attacks and instilling fear across communities in the Mada axis of Gusau Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
His alleged activities were said to have contributed significantly to the prolonged insecurity affecting residents in the area.
If officially confirmed, his reported death could represent a major development in Zamfara’s ongoing security challenges. However, security observers have expressed concerns over possible reprisals and continued violence among rival factions, which may further threaten peace in affected communities.
Authorities are yet to issue an official statement confirming the development.
