Northern Youths Burn Nigerian Flag, Claim to Eat Leaves Due to Hardship

A gathering of young people from the northern part of Nigeria decided to burn the Nigerian flag as a way to show their anger and frustration about the high cost of living and tough economic times during the first year of President Bola Tinubu’s leadership.

They were upset about the situation and felt like the government was not doing enough to help them.

In a video that was recently shared online, these young people were seen setting fire to the flag while talking about how difficult it is to afford basic necessities like food.

They criticized the government for spending money on things that are not essential while many people in the country are struggling to make ends meet.

They expressed their disappointment directly to President Bola Tinubu, saying that they had voted for him hoping for a better future, but instead, they were facing hardship while he seemed to be living a comfortable life.

They mentioned specific examples, like the high price of a packet of spaghetti, which has become too expensive for many people to afford.

They also mentioned Nigeria’s loss in a football competition, saying that it was a wake-up call for the country to focus on the real issues affecting its citizens.

“We thank the almighty God for Nigeria losing the football competition. We pray Nigeria does not win anything if this is how the country is being governed,” said the northern youths. “We are tired of everything.”

Despite the protests and complaints, President Tinubu has encouraged Nigerians to stay strong and hopeful, assuring them that the tough times are necessary for future economic prosperity.

He acknowledged that his reforms might cause hardship for many people in the short term but believes it will lead to a better future for the country.

In his New Year address, President Tinubu urged Nigerians to remain resilient and to have faith in the promise of a better Nigeria, despite the challenges they may face.
