Northeastern Governors Meet, Seek End To Challenges Facing The Region

The Governors of the Northeastern region have assured of their renewed commitment in bringing the challenges faced by the region to an end. 

Chairman of the Northeastern Governors forum and Governor of Borno State Babagana Zulum gave this assurance while addressing a meeting that had in attendance all the six Governors of the region.

Zulum who called for collaboration amongst the states of the charged them to work assiduously in surmounting insecurity, poverty and unemployment in the region.

While commending the Tinubu led administration for its giant stride in improving on the the lives of citizen, the Borno state Governor also solicited for the federal government intervention in addressing the area of bad roads, poverty and other sundry challenges faced by the region.

Also speaking the host and Governor of Adamawa State Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri ststed that the forum has overtime attracted attention to the region such that it has gone a long way in playing a major role to combating insecurity in the region.

Highlighting the achievements of the forum Fintiri maintained that the successes of the region especially in the area of improved security, maintainance of peace and development wouldn’t have been achievable the without the unified efforts of the Governors.

The Northeastern Governors met in Yola the Adamawa State Capital on Saturday 25th November 2023, to chart a way forward for the overall development of the region.
