Former spokesman to PDP presidential candidate in the 2023 general election, Daniel Bwala has stated that there would be no better candidate to unseat president Bola Tinubu in the next presidential election.
Speaking on Arise News on Tuesday 25th June Bwala who said that the visit by former vice president Atiku Abubakar and other northern politicians to Former president Mohammadu Buhari is a plot to oust Tinubu from power come 2027, maintained that such plan would fail.
He said that the plot by northern opposition forces would be neutralized by Tinubu’s tireless effort in building bridges and ensuring good governance that would yield result before 2027 and enable him stand out among other presidential candidates.
While alleging of plans by former president Goodluck Jonathan and Rabiu Kwankwaso pairing to contest in the next election, Bwala stressed that such venture would be futile at defeating president Bola Tinubu, arguing that all attempts would work in favour of the present administration.
The renowned lawyer said that a good number of northerners are happy with the leadership style of the present administration as against the opposite view held in some quarters.
Bwala who revealed that his decision to support president Tinubu stemmed from the president’s inclusive style of leadership added that he alongside other northern elites would continue to throw their weight behind the president.
Responding to a question on the current economic hardship in the country, Bwala stated that the rising economic recession is a global problem as he also blamed some traders for the soaring prices of food items in the market
