The partnership also includes staff exchange programmes, joint training initiatives, and the use of NiMet’s Training School in Oshodi, Lagos, to conduct International Civil Aviation Organization compliant aviation training.
The framework outlines cooperation in critical professional areas such as aviation operations and management, safety management systems, crisis management, aviation security, air navigation systems, and airport operations. It also provides for jointly organized academic programmes, including diploma training in aviation meteorology, aimed at strengthening technical expertise in the sector.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Prof. Anosike reaffirmed the Agency’s commitment to sustained human capital development. He emphasized that continuous investment in training, technical collaboration, and institutional partnerships remains vital to achieving operational excellence and supporting safe and efficient air navigation across Nigeria.
