The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has forecast a combination of sunshine, cloudy conditions and thunderstorms across parts of the country from Monday to Wednesday.
In its weather outlook released in Abuja on Sunday, the agency predicted sunny skies with a few patches of cloud over the northern region on Monday.
It also forecast isolated thunderstorms accompanied by light to moderate rainfall over parts of Taraba State during the afternoon and evening.
For the North-Central region, NiMet predicted a cloudy atmosphere with intervals of sunshine throughout the forecast period.
In the southern region, the agency forecast cloudy conditions with intervals of sunshine, with chances of thunderstorms and light rain over parts of Rivers, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom and Cross River states.
It added that thunderstorms accompanied by moderate rainfall were likely later in the day over parts of Oyo, Osun, Ondo, Lagos, Edo, Delta, Imo, Abia, Ebonyi, Anambra, Bayelsa, Rivers, Cross River and Akwa Ibom states.
For Tuesday, NiMet forecast sunny skies with a few patches of cloud across the northern region, with isolated thunderstorms and light to moderate rainfall expected over parts of Taraba later in the day.
The agency also predicted cloudy conditions with intervals of sunshine across the North-Central and southern regions.
Moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms was expected over parts of Ondo, Osun, Ogun, Lagos, Imo, Abia, Enugu, Ebonyi, Anambra, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Bayelsa, Edo and Delta states.
On Wednesday, sunny skies with a few patches of cloud were expected across the northern region, while the North-Central region would experience cloudy conditions with intervals of sunshine.
For the South, NiMet forecast cloudy conditions with intervals of sunshine and possible thunderstorms with moderate rainfall over parts of Delta, Edo, Bayelsa, Cross River, Akwa Ibom and Rivers states.

The agency warned that strong winds could precede rainfall in areas where thunderstorms are expected.
It advised residents to secure loose objects, avoid driving during heavy rainfall, disconnect electrical appliances from power sockets and stay away from tall trees to prevent injuries from falling branches.
NiMet also advised airline operators to obtain airport-specific weather reports for effective flight planning.
The agency said temperatures were expected to remain high, potentially causing thermal discomfort, and advised residents to wear breathable clothing, stay in well-ventilated environments and remain hydrated.
