Nigeria’s Minister Of Finance Gets World Bank Appointment

Nigeria’s Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, has been appointed as the Chairman of the African Governors’ Forum of the World Bank.

This remarkable development was announced in an official statement released by the Federal Ministry of Finance, accessible on its official X (formerly Twitter) account.

The ministry proudly highlighted the significance of this appointment, noting that it marks the first time in 60 years that Nigeria has assumed the prestigious role of Chairman within the African Governors’ Forum of the World Bank.

This milestone brings a unique and promising opportunity for Nigeria, aligning with the implementation of President Tinubu’s ambitious Renewed Hope Agenda. It opens new doors for the nation to engage with the global financial community and contribute to the economic transformation of the African continent.
