Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has again taken a swipe on the embattled Nigeria’s head of IGP Intelligence Response Team DCP, Abba Kyari.
Kyari was indicted by international fraudster, Abbas Ramon popularly known as Hushpuppi for bribery and has been declared wanted by the United States Federal Bureau Investigation.
In a post on Facebook, Omokri averred that Kyari’s lifestyle has long indicated that his hands are not clean but Nigerians were blind to the signs.
He wrote:
Which policeman in Europe or America do you see become an Instagram celebrity that attends happening parties and celeb events? Posting photos of vanities? To be honest, the red flags were there. The media and the authorities just didn’t call him out because of his ethnicity!
It is just that Nigerians have a short memory. The last time a policeman was this loud and garish was in 1991, when Fidelis Oyakhilome, a policeman and former Governor of Rivers, and the then head of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, was caught hanging out with society woman Jennifer Madike, who was a known friend to drug barons. He was dismissed by Babangida. We expect no less from Buhari on Kyari!
