Nigerian Navy Debunks Fake 2026 Batch 39 Recruitment Notice

—

The Nigerian Navy has dismissed as fake a recruitment notice circulating on social media platforms, purportedly announcing the commencement of its 2026 Batch 39 recruitment exercise.

The Director of Naval Information, Capt. Abiodun Folorunsho, said this in a statement on Monday, warning that the circulating notice was not authorised by the Nigerian Navy and should not be regarded as an official recruitment announcement.

Folorunsho urged prospective applicants and members of the public to be cautious and disregard recruitment information shared through unofficial social media accounts, websites or other platforms.

Fake Notice

He said official information on Nigerian Navy recruitment, including eligibility requirements, application procedures, timelines and categories, would only be released through the Navy’s authorised communication channels.

“The official website for Nigerian Navy recruitment or enlistment is http://www.joinnigeriannavy.navy.mil.ng, and the official website remains https://navy.mil.ng,” he said.

The director also warned the public against making payments to individuals, agents or unauthorised platforms in connection with the recruitment exercise, stressing that the process was free.

“The Nigerian Navy does not authorise third parties to recruit applicants or collect recruitment fees on its behalf.

“The Navy remains committed to maintaining a transparent and credible recruitment process and will continue to provide timely and accurate information through its official communication channels,” he said.
