Niger State Governor Provides Over 100 Vehicles to Judges, Boards, Commissions

—

Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger State has distributed over 100 vehicles to judges and members of boards and commissions, in a move aimed at enhancing service delivery.

The symbolic presentation of the vehicles took place at the Government House in Minna, where the governor stated that the initiative was necessary to address transportation challenges faced by government officials.

Governor Bago emphasized that the provision of the vehicles would improve efficiency in the discharge of official duties and urged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the assets.

Some of the beneficiaries include the Niger State Secondary Education Board, Civil Service Commission, Local Government Service Commission, House of Assembly Service Commission, Law Reform Commission, Fiscal Responsibility Commission, Niger State Universal Basic Education Board, and the Judicial Service Commission.

The gesture is part of the state government’s broader effort to strengthen institutional performance and improve governance across key sectors.

The statement was issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Bologi Ibrahim, on Wednesday April 22, 2026.
