The Governor of Niger State, Mohammed Umaru Bago has presented a cheque worth N200 million to the Borno State Government as a gesture of solidarity and support for the victims of the recent flood disaster in Maiduguri.
The devastating flood, which swept through parts of the city, caused the loss of numerous lives and left a trail of destruction in its wake, including widespread damage to properties and livelihoods.
In response to the tragedy, the Niger State Government extended its assistance to the people of Borno, aiming to help alleviate the suffering of those affected by the disaster.
The N200 million donation is intended to support ongoing relief efforts and the rebuilding of communities ravaged by the floodwaters.
The Governor expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families who lost loved ones and sympathized with those whose homes and businesses were destroyed.
