Chelsea’s European spot hope heightened after crushing London neighbours West Ham in a 5-0 score at Stamford Bridge Stadium, London.

Nicholas Jackson hit beyond West Ham’s goalkeeper twice, helping his side push ahead of Manchester United at the summit of the English Premier League table.

Cole Palmer gets Chelsea off to a better start, scoring just 15 minutes into the game. In another 15 minutes, Gallagher doubled Chelsea’s lead. The first half ended 3-0 as Noni Madueke extended the lead in the 36th minute.

Returning for the second 45 minutes, Nicholas Jackson scored three minutes into the second half; he scored again, completing his brace in the 80th minute. In the 5-0 emphatic victory, Chelsea controlled both halves with better stats over their vulnerable visitors.

Currently, Chelsea sits above Manchester United in the Premier League standings, both with 54 points and identical goal differences. Should Manchester United and Newcastle United concede points, Chelsea could secure qualification for the Europa Conference League by capitalizing on the opportunity.
